엘프 뷰티가 헤일리 비버의 로드(Rhode)를 10억 달러에 인수

엘프 뷰티(@elfcosmetics)가 헤일리 비버의 뷰티 브랜드 로드(@rhode)를 10억 달러에 인수한다고 발표했습니다. 

로드는 최근 회계연도 기준, 단 10개의 제품으로 순매출 2억 1,200만 달러를 기록했으며 이달 초 오는 가을부터 미국과 캐나다 전역의 세포라 매장에 입점하고, 연말에는 세포라 영국에도 진출 할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다. 

인수 이후에도 헤일리 비버는 로드의 공동 창립자이자 브랜드 최고 책임자(Chief Brand Officer), 혁신 총괄(Head of Innovation)으로서의 역할을 유지하며, 엘프뷰티의 전략 고문(Strategic Advisor)으로도 활동할 예정입니다. 

그녀가 이끄는 로드가 이번 인수를 통해 더욱 혁신적인 제품을 선보이고, 글로벌 유통을 확대할 수 있는 계기를 마련한 만큼 이번 거래가 뷰티 업계에 어떤 변화를 가져올지 기대됩니다.

e.l.f. Beauty Acquires Hailey Bieber’s Rhode in $1 Billion Deal

@elfcosmetics has announced its acquisition of @rhode, Hailey Bieber’s beauty brand, in a deal valued at $1 billion.

Despite offering only 10 products, Rhode reported an impressive $212 million in net sales in the most recent fiscal year. Earlier this month, the brand revealed plans to expand into Sephora stores across the U.S. and Canada this fall, with a launch in Sephora UK by the end of the year.

Following the acquisition, Hailey Bieber will continue to serve as Co-Founder, Chief Brand Officer, and Head of Innovation at Rhode. She will also take on the role of Strategic Advisor at e.l.f. Beauty.

With this deal, Rhode is expected to accelerate product innovation and expand its global footprint—an exciting move that could reshape the future of the beauty industry.
