Pierpaolo Piccioli is heading to Balenciaga

Italian designer Pierpaolo Piccioli will officially join Balenciaga as the house’s new Creative Director starting July 10, with his debut collection set to be unveiled during Paris Fashion Week this October.

After a 25-year tenure at Valentino, Piccioli became renowned for his romantic, opulent couture sensibilities—yet he remained a designer deeply in tune with a younger, more diverse global audience.

His appointment signals the beginning of a new chapter for Balenciaga, one that the industry is watching with great anticipation.
